About Us
YES Bed-Stuy is a collaborative effort in Bedford-Stuyvesant to create a workforce partnership to build stronger pathways for young adults to access economic opportunity through education and employment services. This impactful, sustainable, and community-sanctioned young adult workforce development partnership, is being created by an engaged group of local stakeholders, including out-of-school, out-of-work young adults. The partnership is building on our prior learning from supporting and facilitating the development of earlier neighborhood partnerships and focusing on the continuous inclusion of youth voices into the partnership.

City-wide, 17% of 18 to 24-year-olds are out of school and out of work. In Bed Stuy, as of 2018, the rate is even higher, at 29%. This is the second-highest rate in New York City.
Our Approach
We’re breaking down barriers to employment for young adults in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Our network of 13 workforce development & social services organizations are providing career training, credentials and services to young adults who are looking to develop their career path.

Bed Stuy Restoration
Restoration relentlessly pursues strategies to close gaps in family and community wealth to ensure all families in Central Brooklyn are prosperous and healthy. A flourishing Brooklyn community consists of strong businesses, and institutions and is anchored in a culture of equity and inclusion.
CAMBA
CAMBA is a non-profit agency that provides services that connect people with opportunities to enhance their quality of life. CAMBA takes a comprehensive approach to helping individuals, families and communities thrive, offering integrated programs in: Economic Development, Education & Youth Development, Family Support, Health, Housing, and Legal Services. Our programs build inclusive communities where New Yorkers have the support they need to reach their full potential.
The Marcy Lab School
Our mission is to create economic mobility by preparing underserved young adults for the careers of the future. We target young adults who are most likely to be underserved by the traditional higher education system and prepare them for high-growth careers where a college credential is not a barrier to entry.
Soulful Synergy
Soulful Synergy, LLC is a full service, socially conscious consulting company that takes a multifaceted approach to sustainability, workforce and community development. Our goal is to empower people, organizations, and communities to thrive, by connecting them to opportunities that maximize the resources available to them.
Community Pride Center
Brooklyn Community Pride Center is the only LGBTQ+ community center of the City’s largest borough. Across the spectrum from young people to elders, Brooklyn Community Pride Center enables our community to actively participate in positive, life-affirming activities.

Our mission is to empower children, youth, adults and families to overcome the obstacles they face. Together we partner with our community to ensure opportunities for all to access an excellent education, jobs, safe and affordable housing, quality health care and wellness programs.
Kingsborough Community College
Kingsborough Community College is Brooklyn’s only community college and has been named one of the leading community colleges in the country by the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program. The Urban Wild
To make sustainable, agricultural technology more accessible to communities affected by food insecurity. The Urban Wild will foster a new generation of community farmers who will use sustainable, agricultural technological methods to reduce food insecurity in underserved communities. Together, we will create an alternative food infrastructure that ensures access to food is universally sufficient, safe, affordable, and nutritious.
